Vintage Water Buffalo or Cow Bell Necklace

These are believed to be bronze, with a very dark patina, attached by a simple wooden stick and string. On one side is pictured a water buffalo, on the other a small, pointed roof house. The bells are wood attached by string to the bronze frames. This piece is in good condition although it could use some cleaning.
 
We found only one other like this online, asking $ 150 and claiming they were from Tibet or Nepal. We believe they are from Thailand however as the pointed roof house is a traditional Thai design. Our mother probably bought it in the late 1960s or 1970s.
