Vintage Wood Caddy / Magazine Holder, Kitchen Caddy, Portable Sewing Storage

We’ve had this in the family for decades, no idea how old it actually is, but you can see it was well-loved with scuff marks and stains. It appears very well made and sturdy. We used it for paperwork and stationary items, but I imagine it could have many uses as a portable open storage unit. It could also be painted to fit into one’s decor better.
 
The most similar item we found online was a kitchen caddy, used in the past to store kitchen linens, but all were countertop units, not raised on four legs as ours is. Their three sectioned pockets were also much deeper to store napkins or silverware.

Also, please note that the color changes under light. We've normally had it in the shadows where it appears much darker than shown in most of the photos attached.
