Vintage Thai Woven Satchel Clutch Envelope Basket Bag

This larger handheld woven clutch has a diamond pattern surrounded by interlaced reeds of black, brown, and tan. We believe this is made of rattan but it could also be made of ‘krajood’ a type of reed that grows in the wetlands of Southern Thailand. Warning: With repeated use, the reeds will crack and break. These ‘envelopes’ are not built to withstand consistent handling.
