Vintage Tagus Portugal Copper 3-Piece Gratin Pan / Food Warmer / Cookware

This pan is stamped TARGUS / MADE IN PORTUGAL / R. 48 which we believe is a gratin pan. This is used to create crusty food – cheese sauces, egg dishes, bread crumbs – baked in the oven. 
 
Ours comes with a plate under the lid which may have served to keep food warm, or for serving food with hot water underneath to keep it warm.
 
Handles are believed to be brass based on online descriptions. The interior is believed to be stainless steel or tin.
 
Comparables online start around $ 30 and climb high, but  most online have been cleaned. We have opted to leave that pleasure to a buyer.
