Vintage Paris Theme Dish Towel Maroon Primrose Bordier pour Le Jacquard Francois

Vintage Paris Theme Dish Towel Maroon Primrose Bordier pour Le Jacquard Francois

SKU: THM 001
$15.00Price

Late 1970s or 1980s table linen designed by the colorful Primrose Bordier for Le Jacquard Francais company, which employed the first ‘card programmed’ jacquard looms. Mme Bordier began collaborating with the company in 1978 and revolutionized household linen colors, previously mostly white.

This dish / kitchen/ or tea towel is maroon, with gray-blue and light blue borders, purple and red stitching depicting the Eiffel Tower and the Pantheon in the center, floral imagery on the borders.

This one appears unused, probably purchased by our grandmother Winona Sands. (The matching but bright orange color dish towel is being sold separately as the color is so different, we doubt someone would want both, and it was clearly used in its time.)

Both have the original tag with copyright as shown in photos. The back of the tag includes washing instructions.

Material: 100% cotton

W 22” x L 30 ½”
