Vintage Grand Vineyard Theme Card Tablecloth Primrose Bordier Jacquard Francais

SKU: THM 003
$20.00Price

Late 1970s or 1980s table linen designed by the colorful Primrose Bordier for Le Jacquard Francais company, which employed the first ‘card programmed’ jacquard looms. Mme Bordier began collaborating with the company in 1978 and revolutionized household linen colors, previously mostly white.

This hemmed square tablecloth is an olive and fern green cotton cloth featuring images of ‘le Graand Cru Classe’ vineyards, with an image of ‘Pigiatura’, the stomping of the grapes, in the center. Red, orange, and maroon bands separate the images with phrases related to great wine made and bottled by producers.

We believe this piece has never been used as it has the original sticker and barcode (describing it as ‘vignoble fougere fern napperon – tablecloth) are still attached, as well as the original tag with copyright as shown in photos. The back of the tag includes washing instructions.
