Vintage Floral-Themed Wood Carved Trinket / Jewelry Box

This hand carved box features a flower with petals on the lid and a repeated floral theme pattern on the sides. It appears two different glazes or stains were used for different parts as evident in photos. The interior is small but would perfectly fit a pad for rings or earrings. 
 
The top of the inner lid does have a crack, and the inner base has some stains presumably from the wood stain used to finish the box. The bottom once had short legs which were probably removed by our grandmother. The exterior needs a good cleaning with dust settled in many crevices. The glaze or stain used to darken the piece is cracking on the edges as shown in photos.
 
We found an almost identical one on etsy for $ 34 in much better condition, with legs and jewelry box inserts including a mirror on the upper lid. The listing claims the box was made in the 1970s.
