Unknown Artist: Temple Guardian Lion Foo Dog (1986) (10” x 8”)

$20.00Price

This line drawing with colorful spotting depicts a guardian lion, or foo dog, which usually guard the entrances to temples in Thailand in sets of two.

The piece is signed (we are seeking out friends who might recognize the signature) and dated 26-2 ’86. We believe it was created by a member of Nancy’s art collective in Bangkok, the Inkie Fingers.

The mat is a royal blue shade, the glass reflective, and the frame a cheap gray-brown glossy plastic or wood with a few scratch marks.
