TOTI 021 Free for Upcycling

We believe this is a Hungarian dish towel which had our appraiser aghast at the fact it was used (it is full of holes and has several stains on the center section). We were told the stitching is no longer done, the piece most valuable had it been preserved. Of course, our great grand aunts bought things to use them, so it is what it is, but we are loathe to just toss this piece in the bin. We would be thrilled if someone had an idea of how to upcycle the ends of the dish towel. Fingers crossed!
