TI O 050 Indonesian with Indian Influence (Some Fading)

SKU: TI O 050
$50.00Price

This red/orange/purple single panel piece with 'songket' gold-color thread weaving changes color depending on the light, but there is a perceptible faded area as shown in the third photo.

It is believed to be from a coastal settlement in Indonesia with Indian influence, possibly Sumbawa or Sulawesi, probably purchased in the 1920s or 1930s by our 'eccentric spinster aunts'.

There are some natural imperfections, some loose threads, and residue from a sticker on one corner which was probably an inventory sticker from the Burr family. Hoping someone can upcycle it and create something treasured with it (priced accordingly).

Material is believed to be silk with metal-wrapped threading.
