Thai Traditional Art: Ramakien (Ramayana) Maiyarap (15 ¾” x 13 ¾”)

$50.00Price

We believe this image depicts Maiyarap, the demon king who kidnaps Phra Rama in the Thai version of the Ramayana, the Ramakien.

It appears to be an image from a manuscript, or ‘teaching panel’, mounted on a wood base. There is crease through the image as if it was once folded.

The mat appears to be navy blue Thai silk, the glass is not reflective, the outer frame is gold colored wood. The inner shadow box frame also has a gold color wood lining.

The outer frame does have some imperfections as shown in photos.

H 15 3/4” x L 13 ¾” x D 1”
