Thai Pi Ya Pon Basket 5 3/8” Tall

This semi-flexible basket with rolled over top section is from Thailand and often used as a storage basket for hand towels, kitchen linens, or utensils. This one is in good condition. We are not sure what it is made of, but found similar baskets online under the name 'pi ya pon' which may be for the design or the reed used. Age is unknown but the design suggests it is a relatively modern take on a traditional Thai design.
