TH 003 Karen Skirtcloth/Fabric

Weaving by the Karen hill tribe peoples in northern Thailand. Most likely never used. Only natural imperfections visible (little tufts and runs in the stitching).
 
An expert pointed out that these were skirtcloths with fringes added for sale purposes (we thought they were ponchos). They probably date from the 1990s. 
 
Material believed to be cotton.
