TH 002 Karen Skirtcloth/Fabric

Weaving by the Karen hill tribe peoples in northern Thailand. Larger than our other ones. Very thick fringe. Most likely never used. No visible imperfections except for one loose thread and a few irregular stitches.
 
An expert pointed out that these were skirtcloths with fringes added for sale purposes (we thought they were ponchos). They probably date from the 1990s. 
 
Material believed to be cotton.
