Hiroshige Woodblock Print: Buzen (Famous Scenes of the 60 States)

The official title of this image originally by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) is The Passage Under the Rakan Monastery in Buzen Province, no. 61 from the series Pictures of Famous Places in the Sixty-odd Provinces, created in 1854.
 
Underneath the artwork on the paper backing is a label from THE INOUYE CO. LTD, dealers in Fine Art Curios, 67 Shimmonzen Kyoto No. 310, Hiroshige 1797-1858.
 
The artwork appears to have glitter in the paint. There is some discoloration of the paper, especially in the corners as shown in photos. There is the hint of a one time crease across the middle of the image as well, although it is barely discernable – see slight line on the edge.
 
We assume this was purchased in the 1920s or 1930s during a visit to Japan by the Burr sisters.
