Hand Knotted Persian Rug with Floral Pattern 3’10” x 2’6.5”

This well-worn rug with at least one point of darning was pointed out to us as particularly special. We will be consulting an auction house on it before selling, but if you are interested, let us know.
 
We had labelled it an antique tribal baluch rug with floral pattern. Our friendly expert however said it was  very similar to one he found online labelled a 'Hand Knotted Malayer Persian Rug'. He said it is nantural wool, over 100 years old, work okay. He pointed out the warp /weft, end on Persian assymetrical knot. He said there is thick weft below, weft yars wavy above which separates warps and provides side to side tension and strength. White knots are repair to warp. Among other notes unintelligble to us: Carpet structure v design origin. Selvedge / Loom / Extra binding around 1-2-3-5 warps. Sometimes in contrasting colors.
