Great Trails of the Old West and The Men Who Rode Them (1975)

Graphics show the route of cattle trails of the Old West. Text describes the gear cowboys needed, the chuckwagon invention, and why and how branding was done. 
 
The poster was copyrighted by Philip Morris Incorporated, dated 1975, presumably to ‘romanticize’ the life of ‘the Marlboro Man’. That said, there are no smokers on the piece or mention of smoking that we could find.
 
The poster is mounted on a wood frame with some damage on the corners. 
 
We found only one online, selling for a whopping $ 200 on an old maps storefront. Ours is well-loved and looking for a home where children are free to study it with dirty fingers if they wish…
