Unofficial Bio: A great friend to our mother, Gaye is an Australian artist who married an Australian diplomat to whom she was introduced only because both swore they would never marry. Oops. She travelled the world with him, never gave up her art.

Her official bio from the Melbourne Manyung Gallery: Gaye Paterson is an artist specialising in printmaking, etching, woodblock, intaglio, xylogravure, zines, artist books and gilding. Paterson has worked and exhibited in Washington, London, Geneva, Belgrade, Bangkok, Nicosia, Paris and Amman. Graduating from the Sydney National Art School in 1970, Paterson is an internationally recognised Australian artist. Paterson lived and worked in Europe for ten years, regularly visiting Art Basel, the Venice Biennale, and participating in a number of international artist residencies and ateliers.
