Coiled Reed Woven Lidded Basket (Pink, Green, Purple) 6” Tall

The pattern on this basket is stunning, with purple, green and pink stitching, including an interesting notch (perhaps the handicraft artist’s signature mark) on the base. 
 
Origin and age are unknown. A rare Google Image Search fail. This basket could be from Nepal or India although we found nothing in the same shape. Our mother likely purchased this in northern Thailand. It is in good condition, with natural imperfections, but the colors may have faded a bit, given the bright colors inside and variances in the color on the top and the bottom sections.
