Chinese Crackled Ceramic Serving Bowl / Fruit Bowl

This minimalistic raised oblong serving plate or fruit bowl has a beautiful glazed crackle in the bowl, with signs of wear in the center and a natural nick in one spot near  the rim. The lower section is unglazed, with a hollow pedestal where someone scratched the word CHINA. There is also a maker’s mark which we were unable to identify.
 
Our appraiser estimated this was made in the 1930s or earlier.
