TI O 056 Balinese Embroidery with Metal Wrapped Threads

Green, yellow, silver, black embroidery of geometric floral designs on magenta base. One sided cloth with hem in the middle imperfectly joining two sections of embroidery as shown. May have been designed for use as a man’s ‘saput’ hip wrap. Some loose threads as also shown in photos. Note from our grandmother, Winona Sands, says it is from Bali, since confirmed by one of our experts.
 
Material: Base could be silk. Colored threads appear to be cotton, very fine silver threads likely metal-wrapped cotton or silk.
