17.5” Tall Heavy Brass Two Part Candlesticks

This pedestaled pair has greeted many guests over the decades to our home and that of our grandparents before us. 
 
The cores are hollow but blocked by ancient wax we could not reach to clean out. The tapering section can be unscrewed from the base but it is very long.
 
One is a little bit wobbly, the feet of its pedestal not even but we believe it has always been this way as there is no evidence of any dents or broken parts to explain the wobble. Call it a characterful candlestick! 
 
They have minimal signs of age although there are a few nicks and tarnish stains. There is residue from earlier polishing attempts in the crevices. See photos for more information.
